Pedestrian walkways are a component of most site plans. Traditionally, (when working in 2D) sidewalks were represented using parallel lines. Today’s 3D BIM models require vertical properties to be assigned to the sidewalk as well. At first glance, you may consider the crosswalk areas to be the most challenging part of a sidewalk to model in 3D. If however, you take advantage of the dynamic interaction between Civil 3D feature lines, you’ll find that modeling sidewalk ramps can be much easier than you might think.
If you are interested I’ve created a quick video that walks through a possible workflow.
