Have you ever wished you had a Time Machine?
The situation…
You are working on your model and the direction things are going is not meeting your needs. In other words, you would like to go back to a point where you were earlier and maybe try something different.
The solution…
The great news is that this is possible TODAY using the “Mark” feature of the Undo command.
Here is how it works…
At any time within your model, you can type UNDO at the command line and choose the “Mark” option to drop a marker in time. From that point, you are free to make edits, measurements, what if’s and more. When you are done experimenting, you can type UNDO at the command line again and choose the “Back” option to magically revert your model back to the state it was in when you dropped the marker. (Also removing the marker)
Sound like something that could help you? Check out the video below to see it in action.
Note: Markers are automatically eliminated when you close the drawing. In other words, you can’t open a model tomorrow and Undo to a marker you placed the other day. Only works in the current editing session.
Even Time Machines have limits. :)
